Pillowcase donation volunteer(s) ????

Volunteer Opportunity.  cool cottons is one of three quilt shops in Portland that accept pillowcases on behalf of ConKerrCancer.org, a national non-profit organization that coordinates the distribution of pillowcases to kids who are sick with cancer or other life-threatening diseases. Dawn White, the Portland coordinator, is stepping down from her volunteer post at the end of May and is helping the home office find a replacement. Responsibilities include collecting pillowcases, preparing them for delivery, and dropping them off at local hospitals, where they are gratefully received. We in Portland are so lucky to have such an amazing and talented group of quilt artists in our own back yard. The latest quilt we are happy to showcase over our fireplace is "Portland Peel" courtesy of Jill Collins.
